The Historic Westside Education and Training Center (WETC), a joint initiative by the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and the City of Las Vegas, is bringing new opportunity to the Historic Westside community. Located at 1099 C Street, this 15,000-square-foot facility is designed to deliver credentialed job training in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and construction trades. As part of this mission, Sleek Floors Inc. was selected to install durable, low-maintenance polished concrete floors throughout the center.
Why Polished Concrete Was the Right Fit for WETC
Sleek Floors Inc., a Nevada-licensed contractor with over a decade of experience in commercial concrete flooring, collaborated closely with the city’s architectural team and Builders United, the general contractor. For a training facility expected to endure high daily foot traffic and heavy use, durable concrete floors were essential.
Using Lavina planetary grinders, known for delivering consistent, high-performance results, we polished the concrete to a smooth, long-lasting finish. To further protect and enhance the surface, we applied Prosoco’s Consolideck®️ system, including PolishGuard and Concrete Protector SB, ensuring stain resistance and a clean, natural appearance that will last for years with minimal maintenance.
