The existing concrete floor was covered with multiple layers of old materials, including epoxy paint, LVT mastic, and tile adhesive residues. These conditions created an uneven and contaminated surface that required thorough mechanical preparation before polishing could begin.

Our team performed aggressive grinding using Superabrasive planetary equipment to fully remove coatings, adhesives, and surface contaminants. This process exposed a clean, sound concrete substrate suitable for polishing.

We then addressed the control joints:

• All joints were saw-cut to create clean, uniform edges
• Joints were filled with a 2-component polyurea joint filler
• This system provides flexibility, fast cure time, and long-term durability
• It prevents dust migration and protects edges from chipping under foot traffic

With proper preparation complete, we continued the mechanical polishing process, refining the surface progressively up to 800 grit. This level of refinement produces a smooth, tight surface with strong light reflectivity ideal for retail environments.

To enhance durability, a lithium densifier was applied. This treatment penetrates the concrete and reacts chemically to:

• Increase surface hardness
• Reduce dusting
• Improve long-term wear resistance
