Sleek Floors recently completed a warehouse concrete floor restoration, transforming a heavily acid-stained slab into a durable, dust-free polished concrete surface. Designed for high-traffic industrial use, this project focused on performance, longevity, and minimal maintenance delivering a floor ready to withstand forklifts, chemical exposure, and daily operational demands.
Surface Preparation, Cleaning & Joint Repair
The project began with a deep surface cleaning to remove years of acid staining, contamination, and embedded residue. Proper preparation is critical in any industrial flooring system, ensuring long term adhesion and performance.
Once cleaned, all control joints and cracks were repaired using a high-performance 2 component polyurea joint filler. This step plays a key role in extending the life of commercial concrete flooring, especially in warehouse environments.
Polyurea joint filling provides:
- Flexible yet extremely durable joint protection
- Prevention of dust migration through joints
- Reduced risk of edge spalling under forklift traffic
- Elimination of debris buildup in joints
This system cures rapidly, allowing the floor to return to service quickly while maintaining long-term structural integrity.
Mechanical Concrete Polishing (Up to 800 Grit)
After stabilizing the slab, we executed a full concrete polishing process using progressive diamond tooling, refining the surface up to an 800-grit finish.
This level of polish delivers:

- A smoother, more refined industrial finish
- Lower long-term maintenance requirements

Protective Sealing System (2-Coat Application)
To complete the system, we applied two coats of a high performance penetrating sealer. This step enhances both durability and resistance critical for warehouse flooring systems exposed to constant use.
